Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui bagaimana penerapan desain sensori pada panti disabilitas tuna ganda dapat membantu memberikan stimulus sensori pada kelompok disabilitas hipo dan hiper sensori. Disabilitas merupakan kekurangan secara jasmani atau fisik yang terjadi pada manusia, kemudian terdapat disabilitas ganda yang memiliki kekurangan lebih dari dua atau lebih hambatan pada perkembangan neurologis yang disebabkan oleh satu atau dua kombinasi pada intelegensi, gerak tubuh, Bahasa. Dalam upaya memberikan terapi pada disabilitas tuna ganda, penerapan desain sensori merupakan salah satu upaya dalam memberikan stimulasi sensori dalam membantu keseharian aktifitas disabilitas, serta memberikan rasa aman, tenang, dan nyaman pada penyandang disabilitas tuna ganda. Sebelum menerapkan desain sensorik, terlebih dahulu peninjauan dapat membedakan kelompok disabilitas, dapat dibedakan bedasarkan karakter sensitifitas sensorik. Membedakan kedua kelompok dapat melakukan studi lapangan, sehingga dapat mengetahui kelompok desain sensori, baik hipo dan juga hiper sensori. Penelitian dalam menerapkan desain sensori, dan telah melakukan observasi pada panti sosial yang memiliki kecenderungan yang terkait, Wisma Tuna Ganda Palsigunung, dipilih sebagai objek penelitian ini dikarnakan pada panti tersebut terdapat penyandang disabilitas ganda, yang memiliki kekurangan baik fisik maupun mental. Penggolongan kelompok yang berbeda juga terdapat pada objek studi dalam penelitian ini seperti Hipo Sensory yang merupakan kekurang pekaan penyandang disabilitas dalam menerima sensori, sehingga sensori tidak bekerja dengan baik dan Hiper Sensory yang merujuk kepada penyandang disabilitas yang terlalu peka dalam menerima sensori. Desain sensorik akan memengaruhi dan menciptakan arsitektur yang responsif, sesuai kebutuhan disabilitas. Untuk penelitian lebih dalam pada perilaku Hipo dan Hiper, akan menggunakan pendekatan “Arsitektur Perilaku” yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui keseharian aktivitas dua kelompok yang berbeda, agar dapat menghasilkan penjabaran perilaku sebagai tinjauan parameter untuk menerapkan “Desain Sensorik” yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan serta kemampuan disabilitas pada sensorik mereka masing-masing. / ABSTRACT SENSORY DESIGN FOR MULTIPLE DISABILITIES USING BEHAVIORAL ARCHITECTURE APPROACH (PALSIGUNUNG MULTIPLE DISABILITIES HOUSE) This study wants to find out how the application of sensory design in homes for the multiple disabled can help provide a sensory stimulus to the hypo and hyper sensory disability groups. Disability is a physical or physical deficiency that occurs in humans, then there are multiple disabilities that have a deficiency of more than two or more obstacles in neurological development caused by one or two combinations of intelligence, gestures, language. In an effort to provide therapy for persons with multiple disabilities, the application of sensory designs is one of the efforts to provide sensory stimulation in helping with the daily activities of disabilities, as well as providing a sense of security, calm, and comfort for persons with multiple disabilities. Before applying a sensory design, the review can first distinguish groups of disabilities, which can be differentiated based on the character of sensory sensitivity. Distinguishing the two groups can conduct field studies, so that they can find out the sensory design group, both hypo and hyper sensory. Research in applying sensory designs, and having made observations at social institutions that have a related tendency, Wisma Tuna Ganda Palsigunung, was chosen as the object of this research because there are people with multiple disabilities, who have both physical and mental disabilities. Different group classifications are also found in the object of study in this study such as Hypo Sensory which is the insensitivity of persons with disabilities in receiving sensory, so that the sensory does not work properly and Hyper Sensory which refers to persons with disabilities who are too sensitive in receiving sensory. Sensory design will influence and create responsive architecture, according to the needs of disabilities. For deeper research on Hipo and Hyper behavior, we will use the "Behavioral Architecture" approach which aims to determine the daily activities of two different groups, in order to produce a description of behavior as a parameter review to apply "Sensory Design" that suits the needs and abilities of disabilities in their respective sensory.
