Abstract

A mixed-use building is a building that can accommodate a variety of functions at once in one large area. The design of a mixed-use building is about how it integrates with the vehicle circulation and pedestrian activity. This design is triggered by the presence of congestion problems that occur in the Sudirman, exactly in front of Ratu Plaza, where the traffic volume is increasing due to the location of a place perbehentian and displacement time. MRT development planning into a solution for reducing the volume of the vehicle, but it needed a new infrastructure that can integrate with the circulation of vehicles and pedestrians, so the time taken by the MRT and public transport more evenly spread and provide security and comfort in the circulation. The design of a mixed-use building that beintegrasi with vehicle circulation and activity The method used for this design is to use the method of literature and precedent. Literature method aims to find theories that can support the design process. Precedent methods used to examine projects that already exist with the use of theories in the study of literature. Circulation and use of space transition is the focus of this design. Circulation of pedestrians and vehicles interconnected with the existing space program needs on the building. With the circulation between the space program, it is necessary also the space where the transition between the space program is not only linked to the circulation, but also the interaction required between program space as social needs space shuttle program.
