Perencanaan kawasan kota terakota Jatiwangi telah memunculkan beberapa objek arsitektural yaitu Museum Wakare, Museum Kebudayaan Tanah, Tourism Information Center, Alun-alun Majalengka, dan Pagar Pemerintahan Daerah. Tetapi saat berbicara tentang Jatiwangi, kita tidak bisa luput dari nama “jebor” yang merupakan sebutan warga sekitar kepada pabrik genteng yang dulunya terkenal di daerah Jatiwangi. Oleh karena itu, timbul sebuah pertanyaan bagaimana jika Jebor yang dulunya terkenal, dijadikan sebagai objek arsitektural pada kawasan kota terakota Jatiwangi? Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi literatur,observasi langsung, dan wawancara mengenai tektonika arsitektur tanah (jenis arsitektur tanah dan elemen arsitektur tanah yang dihasilkan) sebagai dasar teori untuk perancangan revitalisasi ini. Jebor AZR di Desa Sukaraja Wetan dijadikan sebagai pilihan tapak karena kesesuainnya dengan kriteria revitalisasi yang kemudian massa dan program didalamnya akan terbentuk karena hasil analisis tapak yang akan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan program akan tektonika arsitektur tanahnya. Penelitian ini menghasilkan usulan desain perancangan revitalisasi Jebor AZR dengan menggunakan elemen tektonika arsitektur tanah. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dan bahan pembelajaran bagi penduduk lokal, mahasiswa arsitektur dan praktisi arsitektur yang ingin mengetahui dan memahami perancangan revitalisasi jebor pada kawasan kota terakota Jatiwangi melalui pendekatan tektonika arsitektur tanah. / The planning of the Jatiwangi terracotta city area has created several architectural objects, namely the Wakare Museum, the Land Culture Museum, the Tourism Information Center, Majalengka Square, and the Regional Government Fence. However, when talking about Jatiwangi, we cannot escape the name “jebor” which is what local residents call the tile factory which was once famous in the Jatiwangi area. Therefore, a question arises if Jebor, which was once famous, is used as an architectural object in the terracotta city of Jatiwangi? This research was conducted with literature studies, direct observation, and interviews regarding the tectonics of soil architecture (soil architectural types and the resulting soil architectural elements) as the theoretical basis for this revitalization design. Jebor AZR in Sukaraja Wetan Village was used as a site choice because of its conformity with the revitalization criteria which then the mass and the program in it will be formed because the results of the site analysis will be adjusted to the program's needs for the tectonic architecture of the soil. This study produces a design proposal in the form of a Jebor AZR revitalization design using tectonic elements of soil architecture so that the jebor can become one of the architectural objects in the terracotta urban planning area in Jatiwangi. With this research, it is hoped that it can become a reference and learning material for local residents, architecture students and architectural practitioners who want to know and understand the drilled revitalization design in the Jatiwangi terracotta city area through the tectonic approach of soil architecture.
