Abstract
Pendekatan adaptasi bangunan modern mencakup setiap aspek mulai dari proses perencanaan, konstruksi, saat beroperasi, hingga kebutuhan masa depan. Sebuah bangunan dengan intensitas operasional yang tinggi atau jumlah pengguna yang besar secara terus menerus kemungkinan besar harus beradaptasi untuk memenuhi perubahan atau peningkatan kebutuhan penggunanya. Bangunan yang memenuhi kriteria tersebut adalah bandara, permasalahan yang sering dialami bandara adalah kepadatan berlebih akibat luas bangunan yang tidak dapat menampung peningkatan penumpang. Bandara harus mampu memfasilitasi jumlah penumpang yang terus meningkat setiap tahunnya agar dapat beroperasi secara efektif. Ekspansi merupakan salah satu cara untuk menampung peningkatan jumlah penumpang. Hal ini dapat menjadi masalah karena perluasan dapat memakan waktu lama dan memerlukan penelitian dan perencanaan dalam desain arsitektur. Solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu proses ekspansi adalah melalui layout yang fleksibel dan konstruksi yang modular. Ini didasarkan pada layout, struktur dan desain bangunan. Memisahkan segi struktural dan pengisi bangunan membantu untuk bangunan untuk dapat terus beradaptasi dengan kebutuhan yang selalu berubah-ubah. Bangunan yang memiliki layout fleksibel dapat membantu dengan mengoptimalkan penataan bangunan. Dan, modularitas konstruksi dapat membantu dalam proses perluasan dengan mengurangi waktu konstruksi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan di masa mendatang. / The modern building adaptation approach covers every aspect from the planning process, construction, while operating, to future needs. A building with a high operational intensity or a continuous large number of users will likely have to adapt to meet changing or increasing user needs. Buildings that meet these criteria are airports, the problem often experienced by airports is overcrowding due to inadequate building area. Airports must be able to facilitate the number of passengers that continues to increase every year in order to operate effectively. Expansion is one way to accommodate an increasing number of passengers. This can be a problem as expansion can take a long time and require research and planning in architectural design. Solutions that can be used to assist the expansion process are through flexible layouts and modular construction. It is based on the layout, structure, and design of the building. Separating the structural and infill features of the building helps the building to be able to continue to adapt to changing needs. Buildings that have flexible layouts can help with optimizing building layout. And construction modularity can aid in the expansion process by reducing construction time to meet future requirements.
