Abstract
Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan terbesar dengan 70% wilayah terdiri atas
laut. Lautan Indonesia juga merupakan wilayah Marine Mega-Biodiversity terbesar
di dunia karena Indonesia dikenal sebagai negara yang kaya akan sumber daya
laut. Potensi tersebut tidak hanya memberikan dampak positif namun juga
kerap memunculkan beberapa masalah. Diantaranya, terjadi penangkapan
yang berlebihan (overfishing), kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam
melestarikan terumbu karang menjadikan sekitar sepertiganya dalam kondisi
kurang baik, kemudian kawasan mangrove mengalami penurunan pesat akibat
dialihfungsikan menjadi lahan hunian, dan banyaknya sampah laut. Oleh sebab
itu pemerintah menganjurkan Indonesia untuk melakukan Blue Economy. Blue
Economy adalah sebuah konsep yang menggunakan sumber daya laut secara
berkelanjutan guna untuk meningkatkan ekonomi maupun menjaga kualitas dari
ekosistem laut. Blue Economy sangat cocok diterapkan pada negara maritim
terutama Indonesia, karena 70% wilayah dari indonesia terdiri atas laut. Oleh
karena itu Indonesia memerlukan Integrated Marine Educational Center yang
mengintegrasikan sektor renewable energy, aquaculture, waste management,
coastal tourism. Bangunan integrasi ini akan menggunakan sistem energy
efficiency untuk mempermudah tercapainya renewable energy pada bangunan.
Dengan menerapkan keempat sektor tersebut bangunan dapat memperbarui
energi, serta dapat menjadi sarana untuk mengolah sampah laut sehingga potensi
laut dapat digunakan secara optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk
mengetahui strategi desain Integrated Marine Educational Center yang
menerapkan sistem Blue Economy. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui
studi literatur dan studi kasus melalui preseden. Melalui studi preseden
integrated building ditemukan bahwa, pada Envelope system menggunakan
sunbreaker, untuk mechanical system menggunakan renewable energy, untuk
interior system menggunakan circulation, dan untuk site system menggunakan
landscape. Strategi desain pada Integrated Marine Educational Center perlu
menerapkan renewable energy, energy efficiency, integrated building, serta non
formal education. Tapak perancangan ini terletak pada Pantai Indah Kapuk 2
agar dapat memaksimalkan potensi renewable energy pada laut. /Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country with 70% of the area consisting of
the sea. The Indonesian Ocean is also the largest Marine Mega-Biodiversity
area in the world because Indonesia is known as a country rich in marine
resources. This potential not only has a positive impact but also often creates
several problems. Among them, there is overfishing, lack of public awareness
in conserving coral reefs, making about a third of them in poor condition, then
the mangrove area has experienced a rapid decline due to being converted into
residential land, and the number of marine debris. Therefore, the government
recommends Indonesia to carry out a Blue Economy. Blue Economy is a concept
that uses marine resources in a sustainable manner to improve the economy and
maintain the quality of marine ecosystems. Blue Economy is very suitable to be
applied to maritime countries, especially Indonesia, because 70% of
Indonesia's territory consists of the sea. Therefore, Indonesia needs an
Integrated Marine Educational Center that integrates the renewable energy
sector, aquaculture, waste management, and coastal tourism. This integrated
building will use an energy efficiency system to facilitate the achievement of
renewable energy in the building. By implementing these four sectors, buildings
can renew energy, and can be a means to process marine debris so that the
potential of the sea can be used optimally. The purpose of this study is to
determine the design strategy of the Integrated Marine Educational center that
implements the Blue Economy system. Data collection techniques are carried out
through literature studies and case studies through precedents. Through a
precedent study on integrated building, it was found that the Envelope system
uses sun breakers, for the mechanical system it uses renewable energy, for
the interior system it uses circulation, and for the site system it uses landscape.
The result of this research is an Integrated Marine Educational Center design
strategy. This design is located on Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 in order to maximize the
potential of renewable energy in the sea.
